The Health Forums

Since 1996, the Foundation organises the Health Forums, a series of four conference-debates every year that are open to all, and where everyone can get information on health problems, discuss medical practice and take an interest in the issues and perspectives for medicine in the future.

Each forum commences with videos of patients’ testimonies, followed by exchanges of opinion between appropriate specialists. The second part is given over to discussions between the speakers and members of the public, who are invited to offer their opinions and ask any questions they wish.

The first part of these forums is televised on TSR2.

Sylvie Rossel

Responsible person
Holding a degree in biology from the University of Geneva, Sylvie Rossel set up the Forums. As a scientific journalist at the Télévision Suisse Romande, she organises and runs the debates.

Administrative assistant, logistics.
Editorial board Includes Ms. Brigitte Grillet, nurse, Ms. Micheline Louis-Courvoisier, historian, Prof. Jean-François Balavoine, Prof. Alain Junod, Dr. Bertrand Kiefer, Dr. Marc-André Raetzo and Mr. Claude Torracinta, journalist. The editorial board supports Sylvie Rossel in the choice of topics and the orientation of the Health Forums.
