Health Forums and Yverdon Forums

Health Forums

From 1996 to 2007, the Health Forums were held in the Louis-Jeantet Audience at a rate of four times a year.

These conference-debates were open to all. They were a place where everyone could learn about health issues, discuss medical practices and question the perspectives and issues of medicine.

In their early days, the Health Forums focused on the people of Geneva and its surroundings. Since January 2000, they have been accessible to a wider public Romand or national, through their television broadcast on the second channel of Télévision Suisse Romande. The Forum’s audience was enlarged at the end of 2001 by putting online conferences and debates on the Foundation’s website.

The Health Forums were designed and hosted by journalist Sylvie Rossel.

An editorial committee composed of a medical historian, a nurse, three doctors and two journalists accompanied Sylvie Rossel in the choice of themes.

Yverdon Forums

Between 1998 and 2002, the Louis-Jeantet Foundation organized three sessions at Yverdon-Les-Bains bringing together the key players and deciders as regards research and health policy in Switzerland.

The proceedings of these forums are available at Georg Editeur. (In French only).
