2019 Louis-Jeantet Symposium

The eighth edition of the Louis-Jeantet Symposium will take place on Tuesday, 15 October 2019 at the University Medical Center in Geneva from 8:30 to 17:30.

This edition will be organised by two Louis-Jeantet prize winners: Elena Conti, Max-Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Munich, and Venki Ramakrishnan, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge. Together with speakers specialised in the same area, they will share their research on RNA in the balance: between translation and decay.

Alongside the Louis-Jeantet Symposium a satellite meeting intended for students from a Swiss research institution will be organised by Witold Filipowicz, FMI, Basel in collaboration with LS2 – Life Sciences SwitzerlandElena Conti, Max-Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Munich, and Venki Ramakrishnan, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge will address the students.
